Organisation Description: At Refugee Women Connect, we work to build a safe life in the UK for all women in the refugee and asylum seeker communities. Our service users come from all walks of life; many have come to the UK fleeing conflict, persecution, abuse, and human trafficking, and continue to face discrimination and hardship within the UK itself.

We offer practical support for our women on a number of issues, including navigating the asylum process, support with accommodation and housing, educational access etc. We also offer bespoke one-to-one mental health support, as well as group activities to combat isolation and loneliness. Our policy and advocacy team campaign to make systematic change, and to spread awareness and understanding of the lived experiences of the women in our community.

We’re offering a brilliant opportunity to get involved with our organisation as part of our University of Manchester RWC Ambassadors Fundraising Group.
