Description of role: Community Champions promote our services in their communities, such as the advocacy and other services we are offering in an area. They engage with people living in the area to share information and help people to access services.

Community Champions help by:
Making community connections
Visiting Community Groups and doing talks about our services
Distributing leaflets and posters across the community
Sharing contact info and doing research in the community
signposting clients to our Helpline
Arranging venues and sites for promotional work
Building working relationships with Team staff and other volunteers

Volunteering with VoiceAbility is ideal for people who have or want experience in human rights, health, care and wellbeing - but we care more about your values and empathy than your level of experience.

You’ll develop skills in communication and confidentiality, add experience and knowledge to your CV, and know you’re making a genuine difference to people’s lives.
As a volunteer you’ll receive full training, support from the volunteer team and your local advocates, and out of pocket expenses.
