Description of role: Position: Events Support Volunteer

Role Type: Volunteer

Commitment: At least two (2) hours or more per week, with the flexibility to work in-person as needed.

Overview:
Cede Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to community development, is looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Events Support Volunteers. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful planning and execution of various events that contribute to our mission. If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment and have a passion for event coordination, this volunteer opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities:

Event Planning:

Collaborate with the events team to plan and organize various activities and programs.
Assist in developing event timelines, checklists, and logistical plans.

Logistics Coordination:

Support the setup and breakdown of event spaces.
Coordinate logistics such as venue arrangements, equipment, and catering.

On-site Assistance:

Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth operations and addressing issues promptly.
Assist with participant registration, directing attendees, and managing event materials.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders to ensure everyone is informed about event details.
Assist in promoting events through various channels, including social media and community outreach.

Post-Event Evaluation:

Assist in gathering feedback from participants and stakeholders after events.
Contribute to post-event evaluations and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment:

Volunteer at least two (2) hours or more per week.
Availability to work in-person as needed, including during scheduled events.
