Description of role: Our Childline Volunteer Counsellors are integral to offering counselling support to children and young people, through calls and online chats. We use our Childline Counselling Model to guide our practice, you receive in depth training in our counselling model and are supported throughout your development, with regular supervision, on shift supervision as well as developmental workshops.

As a Childline Counsellor you are required to attend 1 shift every two weeks (4.5 hours) to average 26 shifts a year. We are flexible around when you can be available, with shifts across the week to support the demand for our 24/7 service.

Not only is this role incredibly rewarding, but the skills learned at Childline can be hugely beneficial for future employment, and you'll gain experience in counselling, safeguarding and working with Children and Young People.
