Organisation Description: Campus Children's Holidays is a student run charity that provides free respite holidays for children aged 6 -13 from Liverpool.
Description of role: Campus Children's Holidays is looking for adults to volunteer on our summer projects! Volunteers will act as group leaders and look after a small group of children on 1 week of the summer project. During the day, volunteers will accompany the children on activities which include a trip to the beach, roller blading and a theme park! In the evening volunteers will be on site with the children, and look after them while they play on the bouncy castle and assault course, or relax in the crafts room. Campus is a great opportunity to not only have a huge amount of fun yourself but also develop skills working with children and as part of a team. While we ask volunteers to pay for their train tickets to our location, once there all accommodation and food is provided for for free during the week. We also need some volunteers to drive our minibuses - you will need to be over the age of 21 and have had a full driving license for at least 2 years in order to drive the minibuses. Campus will pay for your training and there is also opportunity to practise-drive the minibuses before the start of Campus.
No experience necessary! Just enthusiasm to get stuck into all the activities with the children. An informal interview/training will be carried out and, if successful, enhanced DBS checks carried out and further safeguarding training provided.
