Organisation Description: At George House Trust, we provide support, advice and information for people living with HIV. We are committed to ensuring that people have access to what they need to live well with HIV. We have a number of activities and services that volunteers can get involved in, such as Telephone Buddies, supporting at events, fundraising, admin support and mentoring, and many more.
Description of role: As a Volunteer Driver, you’ll be helping some of our most vulnerable service users to access hospital appointments and attend services and activities at George House Trust. Volunteer Drivers are key to helping to reduce isolation and link people in with important services.
Key tasks include:
- Driving service users to and from George House Trust and their home
- Driving service users to and from hospital and their home
- Driving to/from other events/services, as deemed appropriate by George House Trust staff
- Picking up/delivering essential goods such as formula milk, food bank deliveries etc.
