Organisation Description: Biko Bikes is a student-led project, which contributes to a more sustainable Manchester by promoting cycling, offering affordable bicycle rental, and teaching bicycle maintenance to students.

Our workshop is located in the basement of the Students' Union on Oxford Road, and we are open Monday evenings from 5pm to 7pm as a drop-in for bike advice, maintenance, or for rentals.

If you're interested in bikes, mechanically minded or not, and wish to volunteer please come down to the workshop, visit our Instagram or contact us at bikobikes.su@manchester.ac.uk.
Description of role: Biko Bikes is a student-led bike shop that takes abandoned bikes and makes them roadworthy, renting and selling them to students. We also help students and staff to fix their own bikes through diagnosing problems, telling them what parts they need to buy and showing them how to fix something. This makes cycling accessible to all students and staff. Saving them money, helping to be active and reducing traffic.
