Organisation Description: Revive provides free integrated support and services for refugees and people seeking asylum in the Greater Manchester area, enabling them to integrate and participate in their new community.

Our vision is to provide high quality services to help refugees and people seeking asylum on their journey of recovery and growth. As Revive is a charity, we rely on donations of money and resources to run all our services.
We are looking for people to volunteer as caseworkers, admin assistants, translators, immigration/accommodation advisors, peer mentors, befrienders and fundraisers. We are so grateful for all our volunteers who keep Revive running.
Description of role: Volunteer Administrative Assistant – Revive
Location: Revive, 187 Grey Mare Lane, Beswick. M11 3ND
About the Role
Revive is looking for a motivated and organised Volunteer Administrative Assistant to support our day-to-day operations and help deliver impactful services to refugees and people seeking asylum. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in administration, community work, and project support while making a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide general administrative support to staff and service users
• Manage calls, emails, calendars, and incoming mail
• Assist with maintaining databases, records, and filing systems
• Support financial administration and reporting tasks
• Help coordinate events, projects, and volunteer activities
• Assist in volunteer recruitment, interviews, and training coordination
• Prepare documents, handbooks, and training materials
• Promote volunteering opportunities through social media and events
• Support monitoring, evaluation, and project development
• Assist with fundraising activities and campaigns
• Ensure projects run smoothly and are appropriately staffed
• Maintain accurate records (attendance, incidents, and activities)
• Support risk assessments and ensure health & safety procedures are followed
About You
• Highly organised with strong time management skills
• Confident communicator (written and verbal)
• Proactive, reliable, and able to multitask
• Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills
• Competent in Microsoft Office
• Passionate about working with diverse communities
Desirable Experience
• Experience in administration or community/voluntary work
• Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion
• Interest in supporting refugees and people seeking asylum
• Experience working with volunteers or community groups
