Sub theme: Disability, Older people
Description of role: Spend a lovely afternoon at St Cuthbert's Church, serving tea and coffee, playing games and chatting with elderly people in the local community. This is a fantastic opportunity to spend an afternoon getting to know some lovely people from the community, help create a welcoming atmosphere, and help combat loneliness.
☕ When and where is the Volunteer Day?
This volunteering activity will take place on Monday 19 October, from 1:30pm to 4pm. It will be happening at St Cuthbert's Church 3 Palatine Rd, Withington, Manchester M20 3LH.
☕ What will you be doing?
Activities will include:
- Helping to set up the hall, including moving tables and chairs
- Serving tea, coffee and biscuits
- Playing board/card games with the attendees
- Making conversation with attendees, getting to know them and making them feel comfortable
