Organisation Description: The Church Lads’ and Church Girls’ Brigade (CLCGB) is a youth organisation supporting children and young people across the UK. We welcome everyone, regardless of faith, background or circumstances, including those of all faiths and none.

Working in partnership with local churches and communities, we provide safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces where children and young people can have fun, build friendships, grow in confidence and access new opportunities and experiences. Through regular groups, activities, trips, camps and community projects, young people are encouraged to develop their skills, independence, teamwork and resilience.

Our aim is to help every child and young person feel valued, supported and included, while giving them opportunities to develop, form positive relationships and reach their potential.
Description of role: About the Role

The Church Lads’ & Church Girls’ Brigade (CLCGB) is looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help run activities for children and young people.

As a volunteer, you will work alongside other leaders to create a fun, welcoming and supportive environment. You do not need previous youth work experience, as guidance and support will be provided.

What you’ll be involved in

* Helping to run games, crafts, sports and other activities
* Supporting children and young people with badge activities and challenges
* Helping prepare and set up activities
* Encouraging young people to participate and develop new skills
* Supporting occasional trips, events and community activities
* Working alongside the existing volunteer leadership team
* Helping create a safe, inclusive and positive environment

Skills we’re looking for

No specific qualifications or previous experience are required. We are particularly looking for people who are:

* Friendly, approachable and reliable
* Comfortable working as part of a team
* Positive and encouraging with children and young people
* Willing to get involved and have a go
* Able to communicate well with different age groups

Volunteers must be aged 18+. Appropriate safeguarding and DBS requirements will be arranged through CLCGB.
