Sub theme: Children, Disability, Youth Work and Young People
Stellify Award: This opportunity is part of 'Make a Difference'
Organisation Description: Free residential camps for disabled children
Description of role: Join us for a week-long residential camp that gives disabled children a once-in-a-lifetime experience—away from home and their main carer, completely free of charge.
What We Do
Our camps offer disabled children the chance to build confidence, independence, and joy through unforgettable activities. From campfires and music to abseiling, kayaking, and even flying lessons, every moment is designed to help children achieve things they never thought possible.
Your Role as a Volunteer
Live in for the week and provide hands-on care, mentoring, and activity support in a safe, nurturing environment. You’ll be part of a dedicated team making magic happen every day.
What You’ll Gain
- Full training and mentoring from experienced helpers
- Enhanced DBS provided
- Experience in inclusive care and activity planning
- A chance to help stage extraordinary events (like our music festival!)
- A life-changing experience for you and the children you support
- We provide travel expenses and as the summer camp is residential, all accomodation is covered
Who We’re Looking For:
- No qualifications required—just compassion, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn
- Ideal for those interested in education, care, or medicine
- Volunteers with a passion to help disabled children achieve their dreams
We also have opportunities for people to fundraise and promote our charity prior to attending camp, or instead of attending for the full week.
