Description of role: We are looking for volunteers who enjoy working with children, being active and supporting community programmes. You will help with activities, games, creative sessions and general coordination while creating a warm and welcoming space.
About the role
We run holiday club activities during school holidays as part of the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) for children. As a volunteer, you will help make our sessions fun, safe and engaging. You will support activities, encourage participation and help create a positive environment where children can learn, play and connect with others. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in education, youth work or community programmes.
Our next Holiday Club runs from around 19 December.
What you will be doing
● Helping set up and pack down activity spaces
● Assisting with games, creative sessions, sports and workshops
● Supporting children during activities and encouraging participation
● Helping with snacks, resources and general coordination
● Assisting staff with feedback collection and attendance
● Promoting a friendly, inclusive and safe atmosphere throughout the day
Skills and qualities we are looking for
● Friendly, patient and approachable attitude
● Enjoyment of working with children
● Good teamwork and communication skills
● Reliable, flexible and positive approach
● Awareness of safeguarding and willingness to follow guidance
● Creativity or enthusiasm for games, crafts or active play

Essential information
● Flexible volunteering during school holiday periods
● Based in Manchester (venue details shared once confirmed)
● Travel expenses reimbursed
