Description of role: Are you part of the School of Arts, Languages and Culture and looking for a small way to take part in some fun, relaxing volunteering?

Your School’s Student Support Hub is holding a Post Pals session for you! Join us on Wednesday 12 November from 1pm - 3pm in the SALC Student Support Hub, lower ground floor (next to Lime Café), South Wing, Samuel Alexander Building.

Come along to craft cards or letters and write your own cheerful messages to help brighten the days of ill children and their siblings.

Post Pals is a small charity run solely by volunteers who are dedicated to making seriously ill children and their siblings smile by sending them cards, letters, little gifts, support and friendship. Post Pals supports children aged 3 to 17 in the UK and was set up in 2002 by teenagers who were all ill themselves. Founder Vikki had the idea after finding that receiving cards in the post was the only thing that made her smile when bedbound and isolated due to very severe CFS.

Please visit https://www.postpals.co.uk/ for more information about this amazing charity.

Arts and craft materials will be provided so all you need is yourself and a can-do attitude.
