Description of role: Are you passionate about making a real difference right here in Manchester? Ada's Army and The People's Hub are searching for enthusiastic volunteers to become our Story Gatherers and Local Impact Champions across the city. This is your chance to connect with incredible grassroots organizations, amplify their work, and contribute directly to the strength and resilience of Manchester's communities.
As a volunteer, you will be a key part of our efforts to:
> Discover and document local impact: Uncover and share stories of the initiatives and people who are making a real difference in Manchester’s neighbourhoods.
> Support local campaigns: Help promote the work of businesses and community projects that are strengthening our local economy and sense of place.
> Contribute to impactful reports: Gather essential information and insights for reports on local needs, innovative solutions, and successes throughout the city.
> Engage with local government: Assist in fostering connections and gathering information with Manchester's MPs, councillors, and other city representatives.
> Connect with the heart of Manchester: Speak to local people, listen to their experiences, and understand the unique challenges and opportunities within their areas.
> Identify local solutions: Research and document innovative solutions being implemented to address issues right here in Manchester
> Network and build connections: Connect with a diverse range of individuals and organizations committed to social impact in our city.
> Attend events across Greater Manchester: Participate in our forums and roundtable discussions, with opportunities to attend events at the Houses of Parliament and other key locations.
> Potential for national representation: With experience, you may have the opportunity to represent Manchester within The People's Hub network and at relevant events.
