Role Description
If you care about the planet and want hands-on experience protecting it, Kaya Responsible Travel offers environmental conservation volunteering placements in some of the world’s most biodiverse regions.

These projects support long-term conservation efforts and are developed in partnership with local organisations and communities to protect wildlife, restore ecosystems and promote environmental sustainability. They ensure ethical practice, skills transfer and lasting impact rather than short-term intervention.

What will you be doing?
Activities vary by project but may include:

- Wildlife monitoring and research support
- Habitat restoration and reforestation
- Marine conservation and beach clean-ups
- Environmental education and awareness activities
- Supporting conservation NGOs and research centres

Many placements involve outdoor and practical work, so a reasonable level of fitness and enthusiasm is important.

- All Kaya volunteering placements are self-funded. Project fees typically include:
Accommodation
Airport pick-up and drop-off
Some or all meals (depending on the placement)
In-country orientation
24-hour local support throughout your placement
