Organisation Description: 'Wayfinder' is working to break the cycle of homelessness.
The Wayfinder Programme offers you the chance to use your life experience and knowledge to support someone to make positive changes and find their place in their local community.
Each volunteer will be carefully matched with an individual and fully supported by our staff team. Our volunteers will then work with them on their individual goals, helping them to make positive changes, navigate their local community and establish a stable home.

Description of role: As a Wayfinder volunteer you will support people as they move into their new home, build connections with their local community and learn new skills.
What Will Volunteers Be Doing?
Help with settling into new accommodation
Help access local services/activities/social opportunities
Support with filling out forms or signposting to specialist advice
Support with setting a budget, setting up utilities, managing household bills
Support with accessing healthcare, e.g. registering with a GP/ Dentist/ Optician
WHAT SUPPORT WILL I GET AS A VOLUNTEER?
As a Wayfinder volunteer you will have the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and meet new people. In return we will support you with:
Initial and ongoing training
A local coordinator to support you
Out-of-hours support
Regular volunteer meet ups
